"Love!! Never tried reformer pilates? This is your place. Perfect for beginners. I recommend doing the principles or group reformer class first. Then strength and tone when you start to get the hang of the reformer. Studio is super clean. Hannah, the owner, is super excited to have you in her space!! She has a wealth of knowledge in Pilates. Her newest instructor, Abby, is also great too! Both have similar teaching styles!"

What Makes PBL Special…
1.
We accommodate all levels of Pilates students. Our culture is one of inclusivity where all are welcome. With a studio of seven reformers, we keep our classes intimate so that each students’ needs are met completely.
2.
Barre movements and mat work are incorporated into our Fusion class towards the end. This brings the overall body workout from Pilates together with the precise movements from Barre to really light your soul and muscles on fire! You will love it!
3.
Our clients are our main priority. We love to shower them with love—whether that’s a cold towelette post class or the occasional “puppy Pilates” class. We pride ourselves on the uniqueness of our events that serve our clients.

"I am brand new to pilates and absolutely fell in love with PBL within five minutes of my first class! Hannah and Abby know how to make you feel so comfortable and are so so encouraging. I’ve fallen in love with the studio and workouts already. If you are thinking about trying out pilates, this is the place to come!! Can’t wait for many more classes at PBL, it’s the best."

"Being brand new to Pilates I was nervous it wasn’t going to be for me but Hannah made me love it from day 1. She knows how to listen and really care for her clients no matter how much experience they have. I’ve had multiple orthopedic surgeries but Hannah continues to tailor her classes based on all her clients needs which was what I needed. I’m a few weeks in but can already see a difference in my mind and body- She is the best and once you try it with her you will be hooked!! Excited to continue my Pilates journey with Hannah and so grateful for her obvious love for her clients and Pilates!"

"Pilates Barre Lex is an awesome place for beginners, advanced, and the in-betweeners of Pilates. Hannah offers classes that will be different every day and every time. She is very welcoming and ready to help you and your journey. I’ve taken classes from her for about a year (?) now and love every class she has provided. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone. The studio is currently new (as of July 2022), but I know Pilates Barre Lex will grow even more amazing as time goes on."

Meet Your Instructors-
Owner & Founder | Certified Pilates Instructor | STOTT Trained
Hey friends, Hannah here!
Pilates has been my LIFE for the past few years. Originally, I studied under another local Pilates instructor, studio owner, and my mentor, Lucie Becus who now resides in Arizona. I gained my training to become a Certified Pilates instructor and have instructed group sessions, duets, and private sessions ever since. I’m also a former co-owner of another local studio, and since my beginning, I have furthered my Pilates education by attending STOTT Intensive Reformer training in Atlanta GA, as well as well as receiving training in Barre through American Barre Technique. Although I lean more contemporary / athletic in my instructing style, I love keeping the classical roots integrated into my instructing practice and I am a firm believer in both the Classical Pilates and Contemporary Pilates methods.
I’ve loved health and fitness for a long time; my background is originally in competitive swimming. Unfortunately, my swimming journey was ended due to a necessary surgery. After the surgery, I struggled to find another athletic outlet that I loved. After exploring other avenues such as running, cycling, and traditional gym workouts, I tried Pilates and fell in love with the movements and overall mind-body connection. It helped me both physically and mentally so that I could maintain the healthy and balanced lifestyle I enjoyed living after my swimming journey was ended years ago. Personally, I love the MIND, BODY, and SOUL aspect of the workout and I know you will too!
I’m a wife of 5 years to my husband, Taylor, and a dog mom to Talia and Phoebe. I’m a Lexington local now, but grew up in the countryside of Versailles and I absolutely love both the city and country. When I’m not at the studio teaching or working, I enjoy coffee dates with friends, spending time with my husband and dogs in any capacity, doing some sort of home project, hiking, finding the next best dinner spot, and thrifting. I love making a difference and impacting others lives through health and wellness, and I cannot wait to continue sharing my love of Pilates for years to come.
My favorite part of my job is creating genuine relationships with clients and helping them through movement and watching them progress in their Pilates journey. I love the friendships I’ve made through my career and I cannot wait to build many more relationships.

“I received a gift certificate for private sessions with Hannah for my birthday last year and it was my first time taking a pilates class ever. I immediately fell in love with pilates, the studio, and Hannah and I have been taking classes twice a week since! It can be intimidating starting a new fitness class, especially if you are a beginner, but Hannah has created an incredibly welcoming space for pilates students of all levels. She takes into consideration everyone in the class and any modifications they may need. This is the first workout class that I genuinely cannot wait to go to and I never need to psyche myself up or force myself to go. I look forward to each class and it is truly the best part of my week! Since starting pilates, I have noticed improvement in my posture, less pain in my back and hips from sitting in a desk chair, and so much more flexibility and overall strength. Pilates has not only been beneficial for my physical health but has greatly improved my mental health as well. I cannot recommend Pilates Barre Lex enough!”
